Have you ever visited UBC Boathouse Vancouver particularly during a wedding civil ceremony?
UBC Boathouse is a floating venue in Richmond located on the Fraser River with stunning views of the North Shore Mountains.
The venue has a beautiful interior and a gorgeous lower dock space if you would like to host your ceremony outside for the cocktails.
This day was a little rainy, but at the end of the day, the sky turned out to amazing colors. There is no place where we saw that in our life! And that’s why we call BC the “Beautiful British Columbia”

K + C’s families arrived first and managed the last sets up: flowers, chairs and they even gave us snacks for the ones who are impatient!
It was a rainy day in the morning and they decided to have the ceremony inside. But you know what? Either inside or outside, the ceremony was full of love, laughs and emotions.
They literally blew everyone’s mind, and we can say that those two beautiful souls are meant to be each other. Both had lovely vows and Céline even shed a tear (classic her…)
After they have pronounced husband and wife, celebrations continued outdoors with cocktail hour and the sun finally showed up: the sky was pinky-orange-purple.
Dinner served and we even had Rain or Shine ice cream for dessert: something meaningful for them, because for their first date, Christopher took Katrina at this famous ice cream shop in Vancouver. After that, the party began: everyone was in the dance floor and O-M-G they really got the move! Be sure to scroll up to see those beautiful humans.

The John M.S. Lecky UBC Boathouse is a fully floating facility nestled along the banks of the historic Fraser River, with spectacular views of the North Shore Mountains, just minutes from the Vancouver International Airport and the heart of Richmond’s business and entertainment district. Boasting a spacious, modern design infused with natural light.
The hall could seat up to 150 guests and be rented until 3:00 am. The venue also has pockets of areas where bridal portraits can be taken if the couple is out of time. During the summer, wedding ceremonies can be held by the dock; but since the weather was being naughty, the couple played it safe and held the ceremony indoors.
